The tech firm Flutterwave through its partnership with Flywire has made transfer of money between various African countries possible.
Flywire, a payment processing company connecting over 1,400 businesses and institutions with their customers on six continents in cooperation with Flutterwave has developed the helpful system for customers to transfer money internationally within Africa; the partnership was to enable Flywire users make seamless cross-border payments.
This comes as a gateway for the company to test the cross-border payment feature in its platform for the users of its Barter Application.
This feature will come in handy for Flutterwave users too who want to send and receive money within Africa. It is one of the most popular features on cross-border payment application Chipper Cash, for instance.
Although this move will be a huge bonus for the company as regards more revenue, but it is still unknown when the company is planning to release this payment method and make it public.
Having seen this new development in the FinTech industry in Africa, what do you think about this?
